Cross-border shipping usually charges by whichever is greater, actual or volumetric weight. Most Hong Kong forwarders compute volumetric weight at ÷5000 – ÷6000; for most destinations (US, UK, EU and more) iMile Express uses ÷8000 — so light, bulky goods (clothing, homeware, toys) can cost 30–40% less. Some destinations follow the carrier's own ÷5000 – ÷6000 rule, spelled out clearly in the instant quote at checkout.
